235 protozoan species are known from Georgia.

156 annelid species are known from Georgia.

From Georgia 11443 arthropod species are known.

Vertebrates

Fish (Pisces)

Ca. 200 fish species (33% endemits) are known from the Caucasus region (WWF 2006). 84 fish species are known from Georgia.

Amphibians (Amphibia)
13 species are known from Georgia.

Sauropodomorpha (=reptiles and birds)

Reptiles (Reptilia)
77 species (22 endemic species) are known from the Caucasus region
(WWF 2006). 52 species are known from Georgia.

Birds (Aves)
400 bird species (4 endemic species) are known from the Caucasus
(WWF 2006). Many species and thousands of individuals use the coasts of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea each year on their migration routes. 322 species are known from Georgia.

Mammals (Mammalia)
153 mammal species (20% endemits) are known to live in the Caucasus region
(WWF 2006). Among them are eleven large herbivores and four large predators (brown bear, wolf, leopard, hyena). 105 mammal species are known from Georgia.
